McKenna's 5th Grade Graduation

McKenna had her 5th grade graduation from Riverside Elementary School today. She was so excited. The entire 5th grade did a play for family and friends on the American Timeline. It was really cute. After the play the teachers handed out the diplomas! Boy, that was the fastest part. If only other graduations went that fast. The kids ran, and I mean ran up the stage to get those diplomas and the teachers were going just as fast saying each name. We had punch and cookies for dessert. The best part was McKenna got out of school a little early today. Only two more days of elementary school but they will be fun days. Signing yearbooks (yes they have yearbooks in elementary school now!), having parties, playing on the playground one last time, and much more fun. Congratulations McKenna, I am so proud of you!

Morgan's Orchestra Concert

Morgan's last orchestra concert for the school year was Thursday evening. She was very excited to perform all the songs she has learned this past semester. Morgan plays the Viola and loves it. This is her second year playing and has grown so much in her abilities. She will continue to play next year for Pine View Middle School. An interesting note is that Morgan is the only person who plays the Viola in her school group. Not many people play the Viola, most play the Violin. So, of course she feels "special". The concert was excellent and it is so fun to see the progress that is made by the students as the year progresses. I can't wait to hear her next year! Morgan, you did awesome and I am so proud of you!

Chandler and McKenna's concert

Chandler and McKenna's concert was last night at the St. George Tabneracle. One of the Elders stood up to say to opening prayer & announcements, but the microphone gargled the whole time he was speaking! Chandler and McKenna's faces lit up when their first song was about to play. They were amazing as always but, when Chandler's group (Canta Bella) went up to sing one of their songs everyone started craking up at the song called "Raining Men." This was my favorite song too. Once we met up with Chandler and McKenna we got a surprise, Clark (One of Chandler's friends) came to watch their concert. At the end of the concert, Cante Bella group went to take pictures Morgan also tagged along. After all the pictures were done everyone went to Dairy Queen to have a treat. Chandler and her friend started a war against Kylee. (Another one of Chandler's friends) I guess we won the war but it was bed time for the little ones so we left and went off to bed.

Fun in Provo

Morgan, McKenna and Kim went up to Provo to see Grandma and Grandpa Seay and Shawntae for the weekend. Driving for a long 3 1/2 hour drive! After we stopped at storage unit for a few things of Shawntae's, the girls were STARVING. (Is how they say it) Wendy's sounded so great to them that we just had to stop and eat. Eating in the car is just great for me. Cleaning up spills of soda and catsup. Finally, our drive began. The girls put on a Demi Lavato CD and we listened to that for a while. Our whole drive was just listening to Demi Lavato, Journey, and Pat Benatar. Morgan was alsleep the whole ride as ALWAYS! McKenna was texing her friend Tatum and playing on her DS the whole time. We finally arrived at Kelly's house (my old babysitter for my girls and she's a great friend.) McKenna was half asleep on the couch while me and Kelly and her husband Zac caught up. In the morning, we woke up and left for breakfast at Mimi's Cafe meeting Grandma, Grandpa and Shawntae. After the wonderful breakfast we went up to Grandma and Grandpa's hotel. We sat around thinking of what we should do for the day. Our final decision was to go to the dinosuar museum. We had a great time looking at dead dinosuars. After we saw all of the exibits we went and saw one of the 3-D movies. The movie was very educational, which meant McKenna didn't like it. (haha Morgan wrote that) We ate dinner at Cafe Rio, which was very delicious. After dinner and a little relaxing McKenna and Morgan went swimming in the pool and hot tub. All in all, we had a great time visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Seay and can't wait to see everyone in May.
